APEX Machining is a division of Formex Metal Industries that offers Custom Precision Machining services.  Our tool room has serviced Formex since the very beginning with custom tooling and repair parts.

Over the years we have been approached by various customers and suppliers to help them out with custom machining jobs.  In 2018, we experienced a spike in custom machining job requests and as we took on these jobs, the owners and management of Formex decided it was time to branch out and put an added focus on custom machining.  A new mill was purchased with a travel of 84" x 40" x 30" putting us in a unique market that allows us to machine larger parts to better serve our customer's needs.

APEX Machining offers CNC machining, general machining, wire EDM cutting and some light fabrication.  We have CNC mills along with CNC lathes and a wire EDM cutting machine.  We also have manual lathes, mills, surface grinding and welding capabilities that round out our equipment.

Our quality lab is equipped with a CMM and we are an IATF 16949:2016 certified company.

To further serve our customer's needs, we work with subcontractors that offer heat treating, anodizing, black oxiding and powder coat which allows us to offer a simplified experience for our customers if their products also require these services.
